Americana
The Americana is the term in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the technique known in Judo as "ude-garami", or double-wrist lock. It came to be called the Americana due to its used in American styles of wrestling such as catch wrestling, where it may be called a keylock or figure-four arm lock. It features the similar double wrist-grab mechanic as the Kimura, where one instead grabs the wrist of the opponent with one's cross hand, and reaches under the opponent's arm with his other hand to grip his own wrist, finally fixing the torso and levering the shoulder to achieve a submission.
The name is attributed to the influence of an American wrestler named Bob Anderson. However, the technique may have already been called the Americana well before his usage of it, so the provenance of this story may be a myth.
