Cross-collar choke

Cross-collar choke

The cross-collar choke in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, known as "juji-jime" or cross-choke in Judo, is a choking technique where you grip the opponent's collar so that your forearms are crossed in front of their carotid arteries (thus the name of the technique), cutting off blood flow to the brain and creating a "blood choke", as opposed to a "trachea choke" which would impact the trachea and cut off the airway.
