Ezekiel choke
The "Ezekiel" choke in Brazilan Jiu-Jitsu is a form of what we be known as a "guruma-jime" or wheel choke in Judo. The name refers to Ezequiel Paraguassu, who popularized the technique in BJJ, though it existed prior in Judo. It involves gripping your own sleeve to create a loop around the neck before chopping into the neck with your hand. Depending on hand placement, this can create both a "blood choke", that slows blood flow to the brain by pressure on the carotid arteries, and also a "trachea choke", by putting direct pressure on trachera to restrict breathing.
