Morihei Ueshiba is the Japanese founder of the martial art Aikido. He was a student of Daito-Ryu Aiki-Jujutsu, which was founded by Takeda Sokaku. He was a famous peer of Jigoro Kano, the founder of Kodokan Judo, and through their interactions, Morihei Ueshiba influenced Jigoro Kano's Judo.
