Sit-through

Sit-through

The sit-through, also called a step-out, sit-out, and several other similar names, is a way of making a tripod or pyramid movement on the ground, where you have three points of contact with the ground for stability, while stepping a leg in or out to quickly move you from a belly-down position (like turtle) to a belly-up position (like a technical stand-up), or vice-versa.

This may also refer to a specific escape from the turtle position commonly used in wrestling that utilizes the sit-through motion to escape an opponent sprawled on your back.
